The Future of the Academy of Art University
When it comes to fashion, there are a number of fashion institutions to choose from. The field is literally flooded with aspiring young talent. Just about every age, race or religion of people is in this industry. Some have gone on to successful careers while others have failed. One of the leading fashion/art schools in the nation is known as the Academy of Arts University. This place is located in San Francisco, California, and it is one of the largest private art/design schools in America. It was founded back in 1929 by Richard Stephens, an editor/painter, and it has been going strong ever sense. One way that the university gets its shine on is by participating at the prominent New York Fashion Week.
For 2017, the Academy of Art University travelled to New York City and put itself on prominent display. The university definitely represented itself very well as it had numerous members who showcased their stuff in front of a large audience. Jayne Foster, Hailun Zhou, Eden Slezin and others who graduated from this school, represented it to the fullest. There was a collaboration among the group as well as a number of menswear and womenswear fashion lines. New York Fashion Week offered a wide variety of ideas and concepts. Whether it was for silhouettes, workshops or craftsmanship techniques. Runway time limits were only 15 minutes, but the experience lasts a lifetime.
This specific university has an urban feel thanks to its urban campus location. The state-of-the-art facility just so happens to be one of the biggest property owners in the city. There are over 12,600 students that study here along with up to 283 teachers. There are a number of housing, galleries and exhibits here. All in all, the Academy of Art University is running on all cylinders, and it looks to be going strong well into the future.
