Sunday Housecall With Dr. David Samadi, Helping The Face Of Medicine
Technology is playing an ever increasing role in our lives today. It is helping to shape the very way we live our lives from not only a broader perspective but also on a day to day level. One of the areas that technology is most impacting the world today is the medical sector. Today technology allows skilled physicians and surgeons to be more precise with surgery, utilizing robots to make operations less invasive than ever before and with the advancement of patient data collection it has become even easier for proper diagnoses and treatments to become regular practice.
One of these professionals in today’s medical world is Dr. David Samadi. He was born and raised in Iran within the Persian Jewish communities and after the Iranian Revolution he fled the country with his brother to continue their education in London and Belgium before coming to the United States.
After completing high school, Dr Samadi attended Stony Brook University, earning his degree in Biochemistry on a full academic scholarship. Samadi would go on to acquire his M.D. from S.U.NY., Stony Brook School of Medicine then completed his post-graduate degree in Urology at Montefiore Medical Center. He completed his post-graduate Proctology work at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine then went on to complete an Oncology fellowship in proctology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also completed a robotic radical prostatectomy fellowship at Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil in France.
His medical education completed, Dr. David Samadi first practiced at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital before joining the teaching staff at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. On August of 2013 he appeared as a guest on a segment that was part of the Fox & Friends morning television show. Today he appears online on a regularly scheduled web-based series titled: Sunday Housecall with Dr David Samadi.
This show airs Sundays at 12:30 p.m. EST and features a variety of medical guests and specialists to discuss health and wellness. Since the show is broadcast live, there is additionally a segment that allows for viewers to ask questions directly to Dr. Samadi as well as to the guests he may have on the show. It gives viewers a wide range of medical health advice as well as allowing their own concerns to be addressed directly in real time.
Dr. Samadi has also launched a specialized support group at Lenox Hill Hospital. This support group is for individuals with prostate cancer, one of the more brutal and unforgiving forms of cancer. One of the most vital things to have around you when facing a serious diagnosis like prostate cancer is the support of people around you who understand.
