Livio Bisterzo is a 36 year old Italian entrepreneur. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1999 to attend Londons University of Arts. His business extensive business portfolio started out in 2003, when he founded an events business. Which led to a wide variety of ventures, including his most recent, starting Green Park Brandsin 2015.
Green Park Brands is a food company who makes healthy snacks and drinks. Their first brand of snacks being Hippeas. Hippeas is a organic chickpea puff that comes in 6 flavors, far out Fajita, Vegan white Cheddar, Maple Haze, Pepper Power, Sriracha Sunshine, and Happening Hickory. It has 130 calories, 3 grams of fiber, and 4 grams of protein per serving. Add the great nutritional value to the colorful packaging, and you have a hip and healthy snack aimed towards millennials.
To add to the already great marketing strategy, Green Park Brands has taken it a step further and is giving back to farmers. For every Hippeas sold, they are giving back to farmers in Africa to help them grow themselves out of poverty and better their lives. They also invested in 5 year project to develop a fully working supply chain in Ethiopia, where they will buy land and technology for the farmers. They want to create a fair trade co-op that will be their main supply of chickpeas. Not to mention that chickpeas release nitrogen in the soil, which make it environmentally friendly.
Green Park Brands is trying to take the feeling and inspiration from the original hippie era and bring it to modern day. Its colorful packing and theme of “give peas a chance” was a awesome way to grab their target customers, millennials. It’s theme Vegan white Cheddar and Far Out Fajita can be found in some Starbucks across the country, all 6 flavors can be found on Amazon.com, and they as of 12 months ago they were supposed to moving into Whole Foods.
